Expo City Dubai is the city built on the Expo 2020 site, in the heart of Dubai South. Its homes range from apartments in Mangrove, Sky, Sidr and Al Waha Residences to the townhouses and villas of Expo Valley, set beside a nature reserve and a lake.

Why it's on my list

• Al Waha Residences, more than 500 apartments and lofts across 42 buildings, has its contractors appointed and is due in 2027.
• Part of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, with direct access to Al Maktoum International Airport and Jebel Ali Port.
• A district that already works: the metro station, venues and offices from Expo 2020 are open today.
